Kings Park Nature Play Day

In April 2024, at Kings Park and Botanical Garden, I conducted a workshop emphasizing the significance of community bonds. Families crafted their own yarning sticks, learning about their importance within Aboriginal communities. Reinforcing the value of cultural heritage and identity, we discussed yarning practices and the importance of respecting Indigenous traditions and storytelling. Each family took their stick home, encouraging them to practice and share their newfound listening and speaking skills.
